May 2026Two villages, one river, no rush
A gentle day. The covered ceramics market is a maze and our guide knew which stalls were the workshops rather than resellers. Only note: my bowl needed firing, so it was posted on later at my own cost — worth knowing in advance.

Clothes you can get clay on
Wear clothes you can get a little clay on — aprons are provided but sleeves can get dusty. Bring cash for extra market purchases.

Same-day pieces are unglazed clay to dry; if you want a fired, glazed version we ship it 2–3 weeks later for a small fee, or you can paint a pre-fired blank to take home immediately.
