February 2026Water puppet show ticket included was a nice touch. Crossing traffic near Hoàn Kiếm Lake is chaotic but the guide walked us through it patiently.

Modest dress is required at the Mausoleum grounds and Temple of Literature — no shorts above the knee or sleeveless tops. Bring water and comfortable shoes.

No — the interior is open mornings only, closed Mondays and Fridays, and requires modest dress with no photography; we visit the exterior and gardens, which are open daily.
