February 2026The Citadel is bigger than photos suggest
Spent almost three hours inside the Citadel and still felt rushed — our guide's stories about the royal tombs afterwards tied the whole dynasty's history together.

Modest dress is recommended inside temple and tomb grounds. Bring sun protection; the river-boat leg may switch to a road transfer in low-water season.
