Twelve days that actually connect
We had done Vietnam in pieces before and always felt we were parachuting into places. Doing it end to end, with the internal flights handled, finally made the country read as one thing. Hạ Long into Huế into the delta, in that order, makes sense.
Pace is brisk but never rushed
Seven destinations in twelve days sounds punishing and mostly it is not — there are proper rest afternoons built in. The two long transfer days are the price. Packing light matters more than usual.
